Our Yoga Alliance approved 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is located on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Our yoga teacher training program blends the ancient philosophy of yoga science with the contemporary art of teaching yoga as a transformational practice of self care and health + wellness.
We are currently accepting applications for the November 2016 Yoga Teacher Training Programs.
Yoga Alliance Approved: Our 200 hour yoga teacher training program is approved by the National Yoga Alliance and meets the standards for certification through that organization.
Format : We willl meet everyday from 7am-5/6pm most days except for Tuesdays. There will be a 2 hour break for eating, resting and study.
Experiential Learning: Instruction + Information provided via a variety of formats, which include direct participation in physical practice of asana as well as lecture, group discussion, reading assignments, alignment demos + interactive adjustments.
Affordable Quality Instruction: We limit the number of students to provide hands on instruction from our highly qualified instructors. The total cost of the 200 hour program is $2,100 USD which includes a comprehensive RBYW teachers manual + 3 texts.
Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga Focus: The core focus of our program is Yoga of the East + Yoga of the West. You will learn to teach 60+ basic foundational yoga poses including modifications with props and variations. In addition you will learn to adapt/teach many of these core asanas as both restorative supported poses and a variation to teach as vigorous vinyasa flow.
Empowered Essence: We teach yoga as a holistic mind/body inquiry to know one self and be empowered by the inherent wisdom within.

Tuesday is a day of rest with no contact hours – time for self study and open book assignments

08:00 to 9:00 – In depth look at Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
9:00-10:00 – Asana for all (Ancient techniques from Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Ayurvedic Yoga)
10:00-11:00- Intermediate Asana (Optional note taking if rest is needed)
11:00 -1:00 - Break and homework time
1:00 to 3:00 PM – Main Lecture (Yoga Principles / Philosophy / Yoga Sutra / History / Pathanjali Sutras/Theory on Teaching Training)
3:30 to 5:00 PM – Evening Asana Practice
